On April 16th, Andy Burness spoke on behalf of the Montgomery County Food Security Collaborative at the Hungry for Solutions Challenge, hosted by the University of Maryland at Shady Grove. The event featured an expo of hunger-fighting non-profit organizations, several speakers and presentations by a number of Shady Grove students who were charged with the responsibility of developing real world, implementable solutions to tackle food insecurity in Montgomery County.
