An Evolving Commitment to Be Part of the Solution

We are dedicated to eradicating injustice locally, nationally, and globally. We are advocates for equity for all people. While these challenges are long-standing, the urgency to address them has never been greater.  This is fundamental to our work, shaped by the values we uphold.

We are committed to combatting racial injustice and discrimination in all its forms, striving for a world where everyone can live with dignity and respect, free from fear. We stand in solidarity with those fighting for fundamental reforms in systems that perpetuate structural racism and discrimination in areas such as criminal justice, education, healthcare, housing, voting rights, immigration, and more.

Because it is the right thing to do, and because people are suffering and will likely feel even more pain, we will oppose all forms of racism, sexism, religious bigotry, and mistreatment of any group of people.  Standing against hate isn’t just a choice; it’s a responsibility. We use our voice, skills, and shared humanity to take actions for justice, fairness, tolerance, and opportunity, starting within our workplace and extending to our community.

Our 2025 Actions

Donate

We support these organizations, as well as others, that reflect our principles, and we invite employees to contribute through matching donations.

Basic access to healthy food in Montgomery County, Maryland is a priority for us. We lead Business Leaders Fighting Hunger, which works to reduce hunger in our midst, and we support the Rainbow Community Development Center’s food pantry.

Educate

We are committed to ongoing learning about racism, discrimination, and stigma through guest speakers and other resources.

From Black entrepreneurship to anti-Semitism and the impact of immigration policies, our past speakers have deepened our understanding of important issues. In 2025, we’ll continue to learn from expert voices.

Now in its fifth year, our company film festival remains a space for rich and candid conversations about the experiences of people of color and others who encounter discrimination in their daily lives.

Volunteer

We will offer our pro bono skills and volunteer time to organizations fighting discrimination and supporting historically excluded communities. We have supported Identity in Montgomery County for years, and remain committed to their mission. Additionally, we will volunteer at Shepherd’s Table a daily meals program for people experiencing homelessness, and support the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, which serves many Black and Brown neighbors in need.

Advocate

We advocate for anti-discrimination policies in our county and take an active role in pro-equity initiatives. We have been the primary business supporting the Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Equity and Excellence, and we welcome new opportunities to support meaningful change.

And, our 12-year history of managing the Karel Fellowship has provided the nation's only opportunity for first-generation students to gain real-world summer experiences in Public Interest Communications, pairing over 100 students with D.C.-based non-profits.

Review Company Practices

To stay aligned with our values, we continuously review our internal practices, ensuring that our hiring practices and workplace culture make every employee feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. As part of this effort, we survey our staff annually to gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of our initiatives.

We hold ourselves accountable for our progress to ensure that our promises are more than just aspirations. Our commitment to diversity, tolerance, respect, and opportunity is unwavering—at work, in our communities, and around the world.
