Abby drives strategic communications and media relations activities for foundations and nonprofits shaping economic opportunity, public health and food policy programs. This has included work with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Harvard School of Public Health, Healthy Eating Research and SaverLife. 

Abby also serves as the director of media relations, a firm-wide position charged with identifying new opportunities in the media landscape, with a strong focus on creator engagement. In this role, she is responsible for sharing learnings and tools across teams, and providing strategic counsel for special projects.

Prior to coming to Burness, Abby served as the healthy schools program marketing and communications manager with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a joint initiative of the Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association. At the Alliance, Abby developed and implemented national and regional communications campaigns to highlight the work of schools around the country that excelled in their efforts to promote healthy eating and physical activity.

Previously, Abby worked at an international humanitarian aid organization where she led digital communications efforts and a domestic foundation for the blind where she assisted on a broad range of communications projects. 

Abby received a Bachelor of Science in communication from Boston University. She currently resides in Westchester, New York, with her family.
