Angela joined Burness in February 2021, bringing experience in project management, strategic communications, media relations, and research and policy analysis. She provides communications support through research, media pitching, content creation and event production for several clients, including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and other clients in the firm’s domestic practice.
Prior to working at Burness, Angela served as a communications specialist at the Wilson Center, a think tank dedicated to tackling global issues, working with their Mexico Institute. In this role, she developed and executed communication plans, provided strategic communications support, developed key partnerships, and organized and executed high-level meetings and events. She also served as the program’s primary media contact and was responsible for expanding the program’s online presence.
In addition to this work, she has also conducted research and provided support for the Wilson Center’s Latin American Program, the Washington Office on Latin America and FLACSO-Chile.
Angela graduated from American University with a Master of Public Administration and Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in international studies.
Outside of work, Angela loves attending concerts, traveling and reading a good book.
