Chantel is digital strategist focusing on creative content and social media strategy for a diverse array of clients.
Prior to joining Burness, Chantel studied Mass Media Arts Journalism and Communication at Clarion University, where she was involved in the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the PR Club, and co-founded the Minority and International Association of Communicators (MIAC). She went on to work as a journalist, editor, and creative content curator at The Shade Room before launching a number of entrepreneurial pursuits — including The Black Art Expo, Black Culture Trivia, and her branding and digital strategy firm where she helped clients refresh their brands and step up their social media strategies.
Chantel is a Pittsburgh native and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and her passion for digital strategy dates back to her high school days, where she coded MySpace pages.
In her free time, Chantel enjoys painting, exploring nature, working on her book series, and spending quality time with her nieces and nephews.
