Che Parker began his career as a crime and politics journalist for the Kansas City Call Newspaper and then as a staff writer covering national healthcare issues and Capitol Hill hearings for the American Hospital Association. He has worked in public relations and communications for some of the nation’s leading healthcare systems, including Inova Health System, Geisinger Health System, Kaiser Permanente and Nemours Children’s Health.

With nearly 25 years of experience, Che has worked on multiple initiatives including thought leadership campaigns, the promotion of medical research, crisis communications, elevating the significance of business in healthcare, and highlighting the role of social drivers of health. Most recently, Che was the Communications Program Manager at Nemours Children’s Health, where he helped share unique patient stories, worked as a producer on the award-winning Nemours podcast, and supported federal policy and advocacy work, specifically on issues such as food insecurity, maternal health and adolescent mental health.

Che is the author of four published novels and a collection of short stories. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Che earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Che also earned a Master of Arts degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his family.
