Since joining the digital team at Burness in June 2021, Katie has supported a range of clients—from the Michigan Afterschool Partnership to the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation—with a strong focus on her work with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She works with client teams to develop and carry out digital strategies that tell compelling stories, engage audiences, and support meaningful change. Katie is passionate about using data-driven insights and digital trends to create content that’s both creative and engaging.

Before Burness, Katie graduated summa cum laude from Old Dominion University with a degree in marketing and sport management, where she competed on the Division I swim team. She built a strong foundation in digital strategy, content creation, and design through roles at Qantm Creative (formerly Meridian Group), ODU’s Recreation and Wellness Department, and Escape Room Virginia.

Katie grew up in the Bethesda, MD-area and is thrilled to be part of the Burness team. Outside of the office, you can find Katie swimming, running or biking with her husband, Noah, relaxing by the pool, baking or spending time with family and friends.
