Lowell is a seasoned communications strategist who works with foundations, nonprofits, and academics to shed light on health issues impacting people of color and elevate solutions to help all children and families thrive.

He has partnered with a range of organizations including Forward Promise, Greenpeace and the Brookings Institution, to devise messages, leverage social media and secure media coverage. He has been at the forefront of communications campaigns to raise awareness of the dental health crisis facing children and families in the United States; and fuel conversation about the links between race, racism, and health, drawing on research by Harvard University’s David Williams, PhD. He has also led communications efforts for the National Day of Racial Healing, supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. A skilled trainer, he had helped a diverse group of organizations strengthen their messaging and media muscles.

Lowell holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and communications from the University of Maryland, College Park. Outside of work, he enjoys life with his wife and their two kids, who keep him on his toes and remind him that his most important communications job is negotiating bedtimes and snack choices.
