Ryann joined Burness in January 2022. She provides communications support through creating media lists, conducting media outreach, providing social media support, contributing to communications plans, assisting with administrative work, and researching health and nonprofit topics. She works with several domestic clients including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Aspen Institute.

Ryann graduated from Tulane University in May 2021 with a degree in sociology and a minor in cell and molecular biology. She completed the pre-med track, but during her time at Tulane, Ryann became increasingly passionate about social justice and began to focus her work on the social sphere.

Before joining Burness, Ryann worked with the Center for Court Innovation at the Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. While in college, she conducted social research for the hospital accountability and tenant-right projects with ACORN international and medical research at the Tulane Medical School.

Ryann grew up in the Bethesda, MD, area, and is excited to be part of the Burness team. She now lives in Manhattan, where she enjoys exploring new restaurants, cooking and spending time with family and friends!
