Soni Adriance is an Associate working with Burness' global communications team in Nairobi, where she supports strategic communications initiatives across global health, environment and development sectors. She brings experience in social media, public speaking, event management and strategy development.
Before joining Burness, Soni served as the Director of Communications at Shamiri, a nonprofit focused on supporting youth mental health in high schools. In that role, she led organizational communications strategy, managed high-profile events, and strengthened media engagement to elevate Shamiri’s visibility and impact.
Soni’s background also includes freelance writing, digital and event marketing, and on-air radio hosting, experiences that have sharpened her ability to craft compelling narratives across platforms and audiences.
Soni graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Arts in public communication and a minor in psychology.
Outside of work, Soni can be found running, playing word games and learning new recipes.
