Davis Thompson joined Burness in November 2018 as an associate with the domestic practice. He supports the firm’s work on childhood obesity and healthy communities initiatives primarily through projects of the American Heart Association and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Prior to joining the team at Burness, Davis led communications and strategic partnerships for the International Women’s Forum, a global membership organization focused on promoting women’s leadership. In this role, he developed and executed communications and media plans for global conferences and events across three continents. He also served as the organization’s primary media contact and was responsible for expanding the organization’s online presence during his tenure.
Davis began his career as a press and communications intern in the Office of Former First Lady Michelle Obama. He later joined Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign as a rapid-response research associate with responsibilities centered on the candidate’s foreign policy positions.
Davis attended Middle Tennessee State University where he studied Political science and journalism. After graduating in 2015, he completed a Fulbright Scholarship teaching English in Slovakia.
