A New Burness.com
Redesigning our website was one of the most challenging communications projects we’ve faced. After months of planning, creating, and refining, here’s where we landed: a Burness website that tells our story and serves people better.
Nick leads our team of digital and creative communications strategists as they develop and launch innovative campaigns and authentic content that engage the right people in the right way with the right message.
At Burness, he has helped a host of nonprofits and philanthropies strengthen their digital communications, from creative audio and visual content strategies to website redesigns and digital advertising campaigns. His work spans the US and the globe, with organizations including American Heart Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, TB Alliance, Missouri Foundation for Health and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Nick’s always looking for connections between organizational communications goals and what can be achieved online. He is passionate about democratizing digital communications and emerging digital communications work, like partnering with content creators and the role of ethical AI use in social impact communications.
Prior to Burness, Nick was a strategist at 270 Strategies, where he ran social media, email marketing and online organizing and fundraising campaigns for international nonprofits, political campaigns and companies including Facebook, Chobani, Texas Children’s Hospital, the National Patient Advocates Foundation and more.
A former reporter, Nick holds a Bachelors of Arts in journalism and political science from Baylor University. When he is not busy helping causes stand out online, he can be found spending time with his family in Texas.
