It’s Time We Talk About Mental Health

Nina joined Burness as a coordinator in July 2020. She provides communications support through creating media lists, conducting media outreach, providing social media support, writing articles and blogs, contributing to communications plans, and researching health and nonprofit topics. She works with several domestic clients including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the de Beaumont Foundation, the Heinz Awards, and the CDC Foundation.
Nina graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2020 with a dual degree in English and Communication. She was on the Public Relations track of her Communication major, and also minored in Creative Writing. At the University of Maryland, Nina was a teaching assistant for the News Writing and Reporting for Public Relations course.
Prior to Burness, Nina interned with Van Eperen, The Writer’s Center, and University of Maryland’s University Relations department. She brings her love of writing and strong communications background to Burness. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, performing sketch comedy, and finding great puns.
