Sarah joined Burness as a coordinator in August 2019. She provides communication support through managing social media, assisting with events, creating media lists, and conducting research on a range of health issues. Sarah supports work with several clients, including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Community Catalyst, the Northern Virginia Health Foundation as well as other projects focused on achieving health equity.

Sarah is from Ridgefield, Connecticut and graduated from Hamilton College in May 2019 with a degree in Public Policy. At Hamilton College, she was a member of the women’s varsity lacrosse team and served as captain her senior year. Prior to Burness, Sarah was a field intern for Anthony Brindisi’s campaign for Congress. She also worked as a branding intern for Fujitsu, a global technology company, and a communications intern at the International Women’s Forum in Washington, D.C.

Sarah loves spending her time roaming bookstores, working out, trying new foods, and going to the beach.
