strong background in content creation, project management, and digital campaign
creation and implementation. Starting salary for this role is $73,000. This
position will be based in our Bethesda, Md office. Burness offers a hybrid work
schedule. DC-Maryland-Virginia-based employees are expected to work from our
headquarters two days per week, with one of those days being a Tuesday or
Wednesday.<br> <br>You are a great fit for this role if you are
able to:<br></p><ul><li>Create digital content that is on-brand, optimized for each platform and creative enough to stand out in constantly-moving feeds and overcrowded inboxes.</li><li>Translate complicated and dense research, data or policy into digital-friendly language that compels target audiences to act and engage.</li><li>Execute successful digital engagement and awareness campaigns across digital platforms (primarily social — but also email, ads, video, websites and more) that are grounded in digital best practices, are data-driven, and are tailored to meet the specific goals and audiences of clients.</li><li>Confidently participate in client-facing calls, strategy sessions, and in-person meetings and communicate clearly with clients over email and slack.</li><li>Work collaboratively with team members, clients and outside vendors to juggle multiple needs throughout the day.</li><li>Know when to ask for help and how to problem-solve independently.</li><li>Never miss deadlines and project manage with the best of them.</li></ul><p>You may find yourself doing these types of
things from day to day:</p><ul><li>Drafting and/or reviewing social content for a
variety of clients, campaigns, and platforms</li><li>Setting social dissemination strategy for a
creative product or campaign — e.g.,
made-for-social video or digital ad campaign</li><li>Creating a digital report to help a client
understand performance of their program or campaign</li><li>Leading a digital audit of a client’s social
program, website, etc. — including writing and presenting a digital strategy
based on findings</li><li>Giving feedback on digital content drafted by a
client or colleague</li><li>Creating budgets, strategy documents, memos, and
project timelines</li></ul><p>Three to four years of experience in social
media or general digital strategy required. Previous agency experience (or
equivalent external stakeholder communication) strongly preferred. Burness
