Sydney joined Burness in June 2021 as a coordinator on a variety of climate, health, equity, and biodiversity projects. She works with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Climate and Land Use Alliance, The Medical Society Consortium, and the American Society of Tropical Medicine.  

Sydney graduated from Williams College with a BA in Religious Studies and Political Science. She served as a research assistant for a Social Science Research Council-funded project focused on activist clergy who participated in civil disobedience in the mid-20th century. Sydney was also a research assistant with the Williams College Religion Department. 

Outside of work, Sydney enjoys a good read, music of all genres, and traveling. She plays the piano and practices yoga regularly.
